Why do you get on that bike?
Every time that I walk into Ryde and get on a bike I feel myself changing. I become instantly more positive, less stressed, more connected, and a better version of me. That is also what I want for the people of YXE and when I see people in my class stepping outside of their comfort zones, trying something new or committing to be their best selves, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the chance to share in it.
What do you love about YXE?
YXE IS MY HOME. It is where I was born, where I grew up and where I am now raising my family. I love so many things about YXE. Being on Broadway is amazing and gives us the opportunity to be regulars at UNA, The Yard and Flagon, Nosh, Calories, Museo, the Roastery and many more. I have been experiencing Broadway ever since I can remember such as catching a 98 degrees/Jessica Simpson concert with my co-owner Bradie at the Broadway Theatre and shopping at The Clothes Cafe when we were teenagers. Since shopping and eating local is very important to me, I also love Saturdays in Riversdale, shopping at Hardpressed, She Native, Escape Sports, Thrive, the farmers market etc. As a U of S women’s Basketball Alumni I also have to add that supporting our local student athletes is close to my heart. I watched this years team win a National Championship and was filled with so much pride for our city and province. At Ryde we are committed to supporting local in every way possible.
live YXE love YXE ryde YXE is my mantra.
What can’t you live without?
My family. Having a full time job, a local business and 5 kids, I rely on everyone so much. I am so blessed to have such amazing love and support and can’t imagine having things any other way. Secondly, I can’t be without sweat pants and red wine 🙂
